Laura Pausini: Inedito

2012/01/27 - Written by Sonia Benedetto

Released on November 11, 2011 after a well-deserved break from the spotlight, Laura Pausini’s new album “Inedito” has already sold over one million copies worldwide and was declared platinum four times in Italy.

With the maturity of her sound, the quality of her vocal timbre and the obvious evolution in her choice of songs throughout “Inedito”, “la popstar Romagnola” does not spare herself of any vocal acrobatics on her 11th release, while remaining faithful to the “pausiniano” genre. Singles include “Benvenuto”, “Non ho mai smesso” and “Bastava”. Rocker Gianna Nanni joins Laura on the title track “Inedito” and singer-songwriter Ivano Fossati is featured on “Troppo Tempo”. “Nel primo sguardo”, Laura’s very first duet with her sister Silvia is without a doubt one of the highlights.

Pausini’s “Inedito World Tour” kicked-off on December 22, 2011 at Milan’s Forum di Assago. 120 concert dates are scheduled over the next year including stops at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Palais Omnisport Paris Bercy and Australia for the first time. Simply grandiose, the large-scale production, concept and dynamics of her latest tour are akin to something out of Las Vegas. The stage was designed by none other than world-renowned entertainment architect Mark Fisher (Pink Floyd, U2) and the lighting design was curated by Patrick Woodroffe (Abba, Rolling Stones). Costume designer Catherine Buyse and Venetian director Marco Balich are also integral parts of her creative team.

US and Canadian concert dates have yet to be announced @ www.laurapausini.com
