Depart from Montreal or Toronto with your direct flight to Venice (Beverages and meal served on board). 

Day 1: Montreal or Toronto to Venice

Arrival at Venice airport and transfer to Lido di Jesolo. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy this beautiful seaside town located on the Adriatic Coast. Supper and accommodation in Lido di Jesolo. (B,S)

Day 2: Venice

Breakfast at hotel and departure by Vaporetto to Piazza San Marco. Meet with your local guide and enjoy a 2 hour walking tour of Venice. You will see the Saint Mark’s Basilica, the Clock Tower,
the Doge’s Palace (exterior). Lunch and afternoon at leisure. Possibility of talking an optional excursion to visit the island of Murano ($) or a gondola ride ($). In the late afternoon, return to Punta Sabbioni where you will take the bus to return to the hotel. Supper and overnight accommodation in Lido di Jesolo. (B,S)

Day 3: Venice (Lido di Jesolo)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Verona, city of love popularized by the romantic and tragic work of Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. Discover the city with your guide including the Juliette’s balcony and Verona’s arena (outside). Free time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon, transfer to your hotel at Lake Maggiore. Supper and overnight accommodation at the hotel.(B,S)

Day 4: Lido di Jesolo • Verona • Lake Maggiore

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for an excursion on Isola Bella, one of the Borromean Islands which houses the famousBorromean Palace (outside). Afternoon at leisure. Supper and overnight accommodation at the hotel in Lake Maggiore. (B,S)

Day 5: Lake Maggiore

After breakfast, transfer to your hotel in Genoa. Lunch and afternoon free with a possibility of an optional excursion to Portofino ($). Supper and accommodation in Genoa. (B,S)

Day 6: Lake Maggiore • Genoa

After breakfast, depart for a full day tour of Cinque Terre, enchanting villages of the Ligurian Coast. These five small pearls (villages) are linked together by picturesque paths. You will stroll along the paths that define the centenary vineyards. Continue on to Montecatini for your supper and overnight accommodation. (B,S)

Day 7: Genoa • Cinque Terre • Montecatini

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for a full day in Florence, the Renaissance city. You will start by admir- ing an unforgettable view of the city from the Piazza Michelangelo. You will see some major sites such as Piazza Della Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio, thechurch of Santa Croce,
the Duomo and the Baptistery. Lunch in a local restaurant. Rest of the afternoon free to visit at your own pace. Return to Montecatini for your overnight accommodation. (B,L)

Day 8: Montecatini • Florence • Montecatini

After breakfast, departure for Siena, exceptional city that has retained its aspect acquired betweenthe 12th and 15th century. Immerse yourself in a medieval atmosphere by walking through its narrow streets. You will see the Cathedral, the churches of San Domenico and San Francesco, the
famous Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in the world, dominated by the tower

Day 9: Montecatini • Siena • Assisi

Continue on to Assisi to visit with your tour escort one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Italy; a hill town on the flank of Mount Subasio, famously known as the birthplace of Saint Francis, founder of the Franciscan religious order, devoted to the ideals of humility, forgiveness, simplicity and love for all of God’s creatures.

You will visit the Basilica of Saint Francis, a massive 2 level church, consecrated in 1253. The lower church has frescoes by the late medieval artists Cimabue and Giotto. Supper and overnight accommodation in Assisi. (B,S)

After breakfast, depart for Pompeii for a guided tour of the archaeological site of this ancient Roman city, both destroyed and preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Continue to Sorrento. Supper and overnight accommodation in Sorrento. (B,S)

Day 10: Assisi • Pompeii • Sorrento

Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure to explore at your own leisure. Possibility of an optional excur-sion of the Amalfi Coast ($). Supper and overnight accommodation in Sorrento. (B,S)

Day 11: Sorrento

Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure to visit on your own or take an optional excursion to Capri ($). At the end of the afternoon, depart for Rome. Accommodation in Rome. (B)

Day 12: Sorrento to Rome

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning depart of a guided city tour of Rome including, the Coliseum (exterior), Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Lunch and afternoon at leisure. Possibility of taking an optional excursion to visit the Vatican Museum ($) with the Sistine Chapel and St.Peters Basilica. Supper in a local restaurant in the Trastevere area. Accommodation in Rome. Day 13: Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure. Accommodation in Rome (B)

Day 14: Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Rome, Fiumicino airport for your return flight home (B).

Day 15: Rome to Montreal or Toronto
