TRIP DETAILS

Day 1 : Montreal or Toronto – Venice

Departure from Montreal or Toronto Airport for a direct flight on Air Transat. Meals and movies on board.

Day 2 : Venice

Venice Arrival in Venice. Meet with your tour escort and transfer to Mestre. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 3 : Venice

Breakfast. Transfer by bus to the ferry to get to the center of Venice. Meet your local guide near the Piazza San Marco. Guided outdoor tour includes the Basilica, a magnificent masterpiece of Byzantine Romanesque architecture, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. End of the afternoon free. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 4 – Venice

Breakfast. Boat trip to the islands of Murano, Burano. Afternoon free to explore Venice at your own pace. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 5: Venice-Florence-Montecatini

Breakfast. Departure for Florence in the heart of the Tuscany region of gentle hills, charming vineyards dotted with cypress trees and bathed in a beautiful light.

This is one of the world capitals of art lovers. Guided city tour to familiarize yourself with the great monuments and the main areas of Florence. You will see, among others, Piazza Signoria, the Accademia Gallery (outside), the Ponte Vecchio, the Franciscan church of Santa Croce, Piazzale Michelangelo, the cathedral and the dome Brunelleschi, the bell tower of Giotto and the Baptistery of St. John the Baptist with its gates of heaven. Free time. Departure for Montecatini, Tuscan town famous for its hot springs. Arrival at the hotel dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Cinque Terre – Montecatini

Breakfast. En route to La Spezia, the starting point for visiting the Cinque Terre National Park, unique natural spectacle that deserves a full day visit. Arrive at the main train station of La Spezia. Departure to Cinque Terre by train, which stops in every village between sea and land on sheer cliffs.

Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Manarola, Vernazza, Monterosso are the five villages built of stone and scattered on tiny creeks, these are the five villages of Cinque Terre approximately 8 km of rocky coast. Vineyards, typical of this region, have contributed to the creation of a unique landscape with extensive stone walls, winding paths, enchanting beaches between cliffs and clear water. Cinque Terre offers not only the sea but also beautiful trails with views that take your breath away, churches, chapels and ancient castles, food and wines of the highest quality.

The Cinque Terre are recognized as a national park and part of the jewels of world heritage by UNESCO. Movement between the five villages is possible, either by train throughout the day, or by heading for the trails. The path of love, the most popular trails is breathtaking. It is a path that winds to the coast overlooking the sea, offering an unforgettable view. Return to Montecatini end of the day. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Siena- San Gimignano-Montecatini

Breakfast. Departure for Siena. City tour. Continue to San Gimignano. Visit a vineyard including wine tasting and olive oil, with mouthfuls of the region. Visit of the city of San Gimignano and Montecatini return in the afternoon. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: Montecatini – Assisi-Rome

Breakfast. Departure for Assisi, World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit the basilica built in the rock on the side of Mount Subiaso between 1228 and 1230. Continue to Rome and transfer to the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight.

Day 9: Rome-The Ethernal City

Breakfast. Guided tour of Rome will reveal 2,000 years of history through the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona, Castel S. Angelo and St. Peter’s Basilica. Rest of the day free to explore the city at your own pace. Dinner in a trattoria. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 : Rome-Sorrento

Breakfast. Free time in the morning. Transfer to Sorrento in early afternoon. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel Dinner at the hotel.

Day 11 – Sorrento

Daily breakfast. Free to explore Sorrento and its surroundings, with all the good advice of your guide. Excursions available ($) Dinner at hotel and overnight.

Day 12 : Sorrento

Daily breakfast. Free to explore Sorrento and its surroundings, with all the good advice of your guide. Excursions available ($) Dinner at hotel and overnight.

Day 13 : Sorrento

Daily breakfast. Free to explore Sorrento and its surroundings, with all the good advice of your guide. Excursions available ($) Dinner at hotel and overnight.

Day 14 : Sorrento

Daily breakfast. Free to explore Sorrento and its surroundings, with all the good advice of your guide. Excursions available ($) Dinner at hotel and overnight.

Day 15 – Sorrento – Rome

Breakfast. Transfer to Rome. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel near the airport for the last night. Farewell dinner and overnight.

Day 16 : Rome – Montreal or Toronto

Breakfast. Transfer to Fiumicino airport for the return flight nonstop on Air Transat. Meals and movies on board.

Consumer protection tax (OPC) is required by Quebec Government for each trip sold in the province of Quebec. The tax is calculated 0.2% of the total amount owing. In Quebec, it is OPC, in Ontario, it is TICO

A first deposit of $ 500.00 CDN per person is requires and will be given and processed by Air Transat (Total amount in case of Club seats) in order to secure your place on the tour. Balance due 60 days prior will be processed by Expertours.

1. Between time of reservation and 90 days prior to group departure: 200$ CDN penalty per person

2. Between 89 days and 61 days prior to group departure: Loss of deposit (500$ CDN)

3. Between 60 days and 31 days : 50% of the total amount per person
