Montreal s Little Italy Loses Much Beloved Barista

For over five years he greeted patrons at the famed caffè San Simeon on Dante Street. Beloved and appreciated by people of all horizons, the news of his departure came as a shock for many regulars that spontaneously wrote on his Facebook wall after he announced he was leaving his barista position.

“Yesterday was my last day at caffè San Simeon,” he replied. “I was overwhelmed and showered with kind messages from so many amazing people. Thank you for the love and great times.I’ll certainly miss the neighbourhood.”

While Ciampoli remains quiet regarding what’s happening next, we sure hope he will continue to spread his passion for great coffee wherever he goes. Stay tuned as we heard he might be coming up with something in the Fall.

You can follow him on Facebook (Baristello.com), Instagram and http://baristello.com

Piero Ciampoli was even featured in Panoram Italia’s Living Italian Style Section in the April-May 2016 edition.

Good luck Piero and all the best!
