How will Italian culture change in Canada over the next 10 years? The beauty of this country is how diversely cosmopolitan it already is. With our ancestral Italian heritage as the pillar of our upbringing, the combination of the two cultures will bring new traditions for future generations alongside the classics that define us.
What do you hope never changes? I hope that future generations continue to carry on all of our Italian traditions with their families.
Best thing about being Italian-Canadian: The Italian feasts that happen at our local churches during the summer; nothing goes together better than sausage panini, espresso and Italian music.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? To always be myself and start my family young. What job would you be terrible at? Hairdressing – I am so horrible at doing anything that involves hair. What Italian stereotype do you completely live up to? Being loud and talking with my hands.
