What would someone be surprised to know about you? I’ve had a novel and some poetry published.

How will Italian culture change in Canada over the next 10 years? I hope that in the coming years, the next generation of Italian-Canadians continue speaking the beautiful Italian language. It would be a shame for it to disappear.

What do you hope never changes? The food

Best thing about being Italian-Canadian: Being able to enlighten your Canadian friends’ palates with your family’s recipes.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? My dad always tells me, “Do what makes you happy, and the rest will follow.” He’s right.

What job would you be terrible at? Accounting. My high school math marks made sure of that.

What Italian stereotype do you completely live up to? What’s an “indoor voice”? Also, beware of flailing hands during the most docile of conversations.
