Italian wine picks for the summer

By Marco Giovanetti

You mention wine to your average Italian-Canadian wine drinker and you would get the same usual response: Liano. Still, it is the second best sold at the SAQ in 2018 that proves that this  Sangiovese blend from Emilia Romagna is very popular among Quebec wine drinkers.

However, the times have changed and we have a broader Italian selection that pleases both drinkers with conservative and adventurous tastes.

With the good weather arriving, the gastronomical conviviality returns and it’s the perfect time to revisit new vintages of your favorite wines or new ones.

These wine recommendations of the moment are perfect to celebrate the arrival of good weather and are versatile with any of your BBQ or pasta dishes.
