What’s the best thing about being Italian-Canadian? Being able to feel a sense of belonging, a true sense of home, in two countries that are an ocean apart.
What’s an Italian tradition you want to carry on? I would like to one day pass on the Italian language, including my family’s dialects, to my children.
What Italian stereotype do you completely live up to? I drive a little Italian sports car!
What movie title best describes your life and why? La Vita è Bella. Despite life’s many challenges, I have so much for to be thankful for.
Favourite Italian expression and why: “Siamo qui solo di passaggio”—a phrase my nonna shared with me at my late nonno’s funeral. It reminds me that, since life is short and precious, I must live every day to the fullest.
